Who are you? What matters to you? Reconnecting with your inner self starts with a look at where we are right now.

“The most fundamental aggression to ourselves, the most fundamental harm we can do to ourselves, is to remain ignorant by not having the courage and the respect to look at ourselves honestly and gently.”

Pema Chodron

“To look at ourselves honestly and gently.”  That’s essential.  Too often, when we think about who we are and who we want to be, we get caught up in judgement, comparing ourselves to others, only seeing our flaws.  We can’t see the gifts we bring to the world, we don’t recognize how we’re already doing amazing things.

And we can explore a little deeper – reconnect with who you truly are.  Is your life aligned with your values?  Do the archetypes you embody reflect the person you truly are?

We’re not going to change you, not going to help you be a “better” person.  Masaru Emotto, the Japanese author who wrote Secret Life of Water, says:

“If you feel lost, disappointed, hesitant, or weak, return to yourself, to who you are, here and now and when you get there, you will discover yourself, like a lotus flower in full bloom, even in a muddy pond, beautiful and strong.”

This part of the coaching process is about helping you more fully engage your true self in your work and your life.  How do you want to show up?  Let’s explore what that would look like.
